Hydrangea blue, crisp white and classic Nantucket details set the tone for Sarah and Alex’s seaside celebration at Galley Beach. With generations of summers spent at her family’s island home, Nantucket was a natural choice for the bride— and we wanted every piece of the wedding paper to feel equally connected to this special place. Working closely with Sarah and her mother, an interior designer with an incredible eye for detail, we created an engraved invitation suite centered around a custom Nantucket-inspired monogram. Marine blue engraving, hand-painted beveled edges, coordinating envelope liners and blue calligraphy created a beautifully layered, tonal look, while a vellum overlay featuring a map of Nantucket added an unmistakable sense of place. Hydrangea blue carried through the wedding-day paper, complementing the abundant blue florals at the reception.
One of our favorite details was a custom penny card placed at each guest’s seat—a nod to the beloved Nantucket tradition of tossing a penny into the water as you round Brant Point, ensuring your return to the island.
