Lauren & McGuire’s November wedding at Sea Pines Beach Club in Hilton Head was an especially personal one for Nico and Lala—because this time, the bride was our very own Lauren. After nearly 15 years of designing custom wedding invitations for other brides, Lauren finally had the chance to dream up every detail of her own wedding stationery.
Nicole hand-painted a custom wedding crest inspired by the Lowcountry, incorporating mallard ducks as a nod to McGuire’s love of duck hunting, along with palmettos and soft coastal details. The crest became the thread that tied the entire wedding weekend together, appearing throughout the invitation suite and on everything from welcome gifts and cocktail details to custom pieces created for the weekend’s celebrations. A palette of soft Carolina blue, crisp green, and warm neutrals felt perfectly at home against the natural beauty of Hilton Head.
The weekend began with a Lowcountry oyster roast and ended with a beautiful November wedding at Sea Pines Beach Club, complete with blue skies, perfect weather, live oaks, and the ocean just steps away. Classic, personal, and filled with meaningful details, it was the sweetest opportunity to bring years of designing for other couples into a celebration that was finally our own.
