With its quiet streets, historic charm, and iconic golf carts winding their way to the beach, this beloved stretch of Florida's Gulf Coast provided the perfect setting for Natalie and Luke's effortlessly elegant destination wedding. Although the couple calls Chicago home, they chose to celebrate in Boca Grande, where the bride's family has long enjoyed spending time. The weekend began with a welcome celebration on nearby Useppa Island, where guests, dressed entirely in white, arrived by boat for an evening filled with tropical florals, lush palm leaves, vibrant citrus, and the relaxed sophistication that defines Old Florida.
The wedding ceremony took place beneath the magnificent banyan trees lining Banyan Street before guests made their way to the legendary Gasparilla Inn for an evening of dinner and dancing. Inspired by the hotel's iconic yellow-and-white striped beach umbrellas and classic coastal architecture, we designed a stationery collection that embraced understated elegance with subtle nods to the destination.
The invitation suite featured white foil printing on luxurious cotton paper, tucked inside a crisp white folio blind embossed with a custom palm leaf pattern hand-sketched by the bride's father—a meaningful detail that made the suite especially personal. A delicate strand of soft yellow twine wrapped each invitation, finished with a custom tag featuring the Gasparilla Inn's signature striped umbrella and the couple's wedding date.
Throughout the weekend, a restrained palette of white, ivory, soft gray, and touches of pale yellow allowed the beauty of Boca Grande to take center stage. The result was a celebration that felt refined yet relaxed, capturing the quiet luxury and timeless coastal charm that make this iconic Florida destination so unforgettable.
