HYDRANGEA BLUE GALLEY BEACH WEDDING

Sarah and Alex’s hydrangea blue Galley Beach wedding day was pure Nantucket wedding perfection. The bride grew up spending the summer at her family’s home on Nantucket, so when deciding where to get married the choice was easy! The stunning Galley Beach location played the perfect backdrop for their hydrangea blue wedding. When designing the couple’s wedding day paper, we worked closely with Sarah’s mom, who is an interior designer. Her keen eye for design, mixed with some N&L magic, resulted in some really pretty wedding paper. Sarah and Alex’s wedding invitations were engraved in a marine blue. This serene blue was also painted around the invitation’s beveled edge, was the color of the lined envelope, and was also used by the calligrapher when addressing the envelopes. The top of their wedding invitation prominently displayed the couple’s Nantucket-inspired wedding monogram. The invitation was finished with a piece of vellum overlay that featured a nautical map of Nantucket and the surrounding ocean. For day of items, everything was printed in hydrangea blue to compliment the hydrangea-heavy floral arrangements. Our favorite day-of piece? The penny card that sat at each guest’s seat. Each card had a penny adhered to the center and highlighted an old Nantucket tradition. To ensure you return to the island, you throw a penny overboard as your round Brant Point when leaving Nantucket by ferry. We thought this card was such a cute addition to reception’s tablescape! We can’t get enough of this hydrangea blue Galley Beach wedding!
